Innovation Centre

Location: Wellingborough

We were appointed to deliver architectural and technical design services for a worldwide company who offer innovative measurement solutions. We created a new Innovation Centre, a state-of-the-art facility supporting engineering, research, and development.

Located in Wellingborough, the new building was designed to accommodate both highly technical operations and flexible workspaces under one roof.

First Floor – Collaborative & Flexible Workspace

The upper floor houses a mix of open plan desking and enclosed meeting spaces to encourage productivity and collaboration. The layout includes:

A large board room designed for executive meetings and international video conferencing
A spacious breakout room offering staff an informal area to relax or meet
A custom-fitted instrument lab, integrated with specialist services to support innovation and product testing
Generous open-plan desk space configured for team flexibility and future growth

Natural light, acoustic ceiling treatments, and warm timber finishes help create a modern, comfortable, and productive environment.

Ground Floor – Technical Engineering Bays

The ground floor is dedicated to high-performance engineering operations. These areas were developed to exacting technical specifications, integrating specialist ventilation, structural reinforcements, and fire safety measures to meet both safety and performance standards.
