WE TOOK THE FIGHT AND WE WON AT APPEAL
When required, we fight hard to get a planning application approved, so when this one was refused it was a bitter disappointment to us as much as to our client. We just did not agree with the reasoning for the refusal, thankfully our clients were up for the fight too and we took it to appeal.
The Planning Inspectorate commented within their Appeal Decision βThe existing house holds little interest architecturally whilst the proposal would retain the general two-storey scale and its position in the street, its design would create a far more interesting property.β Additionally, βI consider that it would add interest and represent a considerable improvement to the appearance of the existing house.β
During the design process the aesthetics and functionality were given great consideration, including potential impact on the surround dwellings and street scene.
Gaining planning permission approval we feel, is validation of the right design approach and strategy.
This will be a stunning home for a wonderful family
